Ten
scholarships, worth £500 each, are on offer for fundraisers wishing
to study at the Open University Business School.
The scholarships are to be put towards the cost of studying the School’s
Winning Resources and Support programme, and are open to professional or
voluntary fundraisers whose salaries are £25,000 a year or less and
who work with a charity or voluntary/community organisation whose annual
turnover is up to £2m.
The six month course
will lead to the Institute of Fundraising’s Certificate in Fundraising
Management and will teach students how to identify and communicate a fundraising
case, plan and implement a strategy, evaluate activity, and develop productive
relationships with individuals and organisations.
Fundraisers interested
in applying for the scholarships should write to the school with details
of how they plan to fit the demands of being a long distance learner into
their existing schedules, plus how they feel the course will benefit themselves
and the organisation they work for.
The closing date for
applications is Friday 9 September. Terms and conditions can be found
at www.oubs.open.ac.uk
