Based in Liverpool, the service Charity Commission
Direct will operate as a single point for dealing with all email,
post, fax and telephone enquiries, with individual enquiries being risk
assessed allowing priority requests to be dealt with more quickly. The
Commission claims that the service will be able to signpost enquiries
to the “right place first time”, providing an enhanced service
to those who rely on its advice.
Commenting on the service, the Commission’s chief executive Andrew
Hind said: “Charity Commission Direct is a visible demonstration
of how our strategic review has changed our focus and response to customer
needs… With experienced staff to answer questions immediately, or
fast-track them to the right place, we now have a service which better
represents the modern face of the Commission.”
Charity Commission Direct is due to launch on 16 May.
