Funding Central has today launched an area dedicated to
those seeking partners and like minded organisations to
jointly bid for a grant or contract.
The Partners Zone will allow users of the site to create
an online profile and undertake a comprehensive search to
locate organisations that are looking for partners or who
may be interested in jointly working on a funding or finance
opportunity.
Users will also be able to describe their activities and
share their experiences of applying for funding.
They will then be able to decide if they want to share
these experiences with other groups by making their profile
public and searchable.
Graham Collins, sustainable funding programme manager at
NCVO, said: “The new partners’ zone will add
to the impact Funding Central has already made in the sector.
With more and more organisations wanting to collaborate
this will help users find those who want to work together
on a project or who are looking to put in joint bids for
funding and contract opportunities. It’s a win-win
situation for everyone who uses the site.”
Since its launch on 17 June, Funding Central keeps on growing
and has over 7,700 registered users and has experienced
more than six million hits, with thousands of people visiting
the site on a daily basis to sample its resources.
Funding Central is a free smart website for the whole of
the voluntary and community sector that provides access
to more than 4,000 funding and finance opportunities, plus
a wealth of tools and resources, it has already quickly
established itself as a one-stop shop for the third sector.
