ACEVO has appointed Liam Cranley to the role of Head of
ImpACT. Liam’s role will be to coordinate and integrate
the activities of the ImpACT Coalition across ACEVO.
He will report to Seb Elsworth, the director of Strategy,
and work closely with ACEVO’s press and policy teams.
Recent research commissioned by ACEVO with YouGov highlighted
the dangerous perception gap between the public’s
understanding of charities and the reality of how they operate.
In order to prevent an erosion of the high levels of trust
the public have in charities, ACEVO and the ImpACT Coalition
are leading a national awareness campaign to promote a more
upfront relationship between the sector and the public.
Cranley will be working with the coalition to draw up a
‘transparency manifesto’ which will represent
a genuine commitment to transparency and accountability
of all those who sign up to it.
The coalition and ACEVO will be seeking to engage all third
sector chief executives in the campaign.
Cranley is currently part of the Income Generation team
at ACEVO. During his two and a half years at ACEVO, he has
played a pivotal role in establishing the Income Generation
department, where he created the monitoring and evaluation
system and communication strategy for the Income Generation
workstream of the National Support Services.
He will assume the role of head of ImpACT in late September.
