Haines qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and since this time has worked in both business and practice and is well aware of the needs and pressures on fellow Chartered Accountants.

She joined the charity in 2007 as Finance and Resources Director and was appointed Acting Chief Executive in February 2009.

Prior to joining CABA Haines had spent 12 years in retail and service industries, followed by three years at English Churches Housing Association.
