Bank has recruited Ian Courtney to head up its Welsh office.
Courtney previously worked as a communications and public
policy specialist focusing on the technology, new media,
energy and investment finance sectors.
As regional director, Wales, Courtney will have the responsibility
for driving forward the bank’s operations in the area
and is setting up its first Welsh office, based in Cardiff.
Charity Bank has already been working in Wales for several
years and manages the Cylch Capacity Building Investment
Programme, aimed at sustainable development organisations.
Courtney said: “It is an ideal time to establish
a permanent presence in Wales. Charitable organisations
facing the challenges of recession will benefit from having
access to the business skills of the Charity Bank staff
who have vast experience of working with organisations to
guide them towards sustainability.”
Prior to taking up this role Courtney was the Chief Executive
of TM Communications and Media.
