The Kent Children’s Fund Network became the 7,000th
member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations
(NVCO).
“Our members are the lifeblood of NCVO,” said
Stuart Etherington, NCVO chief executive. “As we mark
our 90th anniversary, together with our members we are shaping
the sector into a dynamic force for good which is helping
to transform local communities.”
Based in Ashford, KCFN runs projects aimed at working with
children and young people at risk of social exclusion to
take control of their lives and empower parents, carers,
children and young people through participation and play.
“In the current economic climate, charities need
access to the best possible support to help them respond
to the challenges of the recession,” said Stephen
Bell, KCFN chief executive.
