The National Federation of Woman’s Institutes (NFWI)
has appointed Ruth Bond as its new chair.
“I am honoured to be elected chair,” said Bond,
the new NFWI chair. “The WI is an influential and
powerful organisation. I plan to build on my predecessor’s
success and continue to lead the modernisation of the WI
and reach out to new members. “
The NFWI is the largest voluntary woman’s organisation
in the UK with more than 205,000 members.
The self-governing, individual Women’s Institutes
serve particular villages, towns and districts and all together
make up the NFWI.
