Guy's makes fundraising appointment 21/01/09

Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity has welcomed former director of fundraising for the Parkinson’s Disease Society (PDS), Hugo Middlemas, to the post of director of Fundraising.

Middlemas will succeed Dominic Lennon, who has been acting as interim director of fundraising since June 2007.

Middlemas will oversee the charity’s enhanced team of fundraisers who will take forward a programme of fundraising for the charity to support the ongoing needs of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

A large focus of the role will be to develop fundraising activities in partnership with King’s College London and King’s College Hospital to raise funds for the new Integrated Cancer Centre.

The fundraising team will also work with Guy’s and St Thomas’ to enhance the profile of the charity across the hospital and strengthen links with the local community.
