Voice has joined together with the NCVO’s Compact Advocacy
Programme in an attempt to strengthen the third sector’s
work on the Compact.
The new structure, which has brought the two sector representatives
together to provide a single service, aims to help organisations
access support when negotiating their relationships with
government. The grouping took place on 30 April.
NCVO’s Compact manager Saskia Daggett said there
would now be a “one stop shop” for the voluntary
sector for all enquiries about the Compact.
“The new Compact structure will enable the provision
of a more closely coordinated support of individual organisations
in their relationships with government,” she said.
“This will also give the two teams better links and
synergy, giving voice a solid evidence base and focus, based
on the patterns and themes from the Advocacy cases”.
