Votes were cast for this category, through an Internet survey, by those who work for the charities themselves. The winner was chosen by a formulaic comparison of the vote's results, taking into account key satisfaction ratings of each employee, the employees' commitment to the organisation and the charity’s leadership. The shortlist all scored highly, with two charities very close to winning.
