WINNER: YouthNet
Online charity YouthNet – founded by broadcaster Martyn Lewis in 1995 – exists to create a socially inclusive environment where all young adults are engaged, informed and inspired to achieve their ambitions and dreams. YouthNet achieves this through two websites: www.do-it.org.uk – volunteering is made easy; and www.TheSite.org – a one-stop-shop of advice and support for 16-24 year-olds. In particular, TheSite.org offers young people information, options and signposting through thousands of unbiased factsheets, a confidential question and answer service, community support through discussion boards, chat, a Local Advice Finder, content on mobiles and substance that empowers young people to make a difference.
