ew Ways is an organisation which supports health, education, water and agricultural development projects in Africa and South America. It focuses on the basic needs of a community in order to facilitate growth, typically supporting small- to medium-scale projects that have long-term benefits. Of Angela Docherty, the judges said that she is giving her spare time for no pay and has produced a very successful charity. She doesn’t just lead, she gets involved as well. She has engaged in somebody else’s idea, but has taken it on and driven it forward.
