OSCR chair reappointed to 2019

The Very Reverend Dr Graham Forbes CBE has been reappointed as chair to the board of the Scottish Charity Regulator.

Dr Forbes’s reappointment will run from 1 March 2015 to 28 February 2019.

In addition to his role as chair of OSCR, Dr Forbes is Provost of St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh. He chairs the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland and the Court of Edinburgh Napier University.

Dr Forbes is a former chair of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission, HM Inspector of Constabulary and lay member for Scotland on the General Medical Council. He was awarded the CBE in 2004 for public service in Scotland, and chaired the Scottish Executive’s Expert Group on MMR in light of concerns about the triple vaccine.
