Peace Hospice Care provides free, specialist, care for patients, and their families, facing a life-limiting illness in South West Hertfordshire and the wider area. We provide support at end of life but the majority of our work focuses on supporting those with life-limiting illnesses and helping them to manage their conditions.

We provide an inpatient unit, hospice at home service, day activities through our starlight centre and bereavement support. We not only provide care to our patients but also support their loved ones and carers. We have a range of charity shops across Hertfordshire that help generate some of the much needed funding to support our work and fundraising is key to fund our core costs.

We believe there is a real need to ensure that those living with and those caring for individuals with a life limiting illness, get the best quality of care and support and here at Peace Hospice Care this is at the core of our values. As we prepare for the challenges ahead in the hospice sector, the Executive Team and Board of Trustees are working together to deliver on the ambitions within our 4 year strategic plan. The role of Director of Resources is key to helping us to develop our reputation and expertise further and expand our services to the wider community. We need to engage more with policy makers and work more collaboratively with our partners in both the statutory and voluntary sectors.

To deliver on our vision going forward, we are excited at the opportunities that this role will bring both to the successful candidate and our organisation. With drive and determination to succeed, you will have a real opportunity to shape the long term future of the charity. The post holder will possess the technical, commercial and communication skills to succeed in the role, but we are also looking for a real team player who can inspire and lead their function to do their absolute best.

We are looking for a forward thinking, motivated, resourceful and effective leader with a track record of achievement to build on our recent successes.

If you are someone with the passion and ability to take us further along on our journey of excellence, want to make a difference and are committed to supporting our work, we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.

To receive an Information Pack for this role, and details on how to apply, please contact Ros Findlay-Pix on 020 7820 7329 or Abigail Ashmead on 020 7820 7318.

Closing date for applications: 9am on Wednesday 7th February 2018.
