Insight in Fundraising Awards shortlist announced

The shortlist has been announced for the third Insight in Fundraising Awards, an initiative of the Institute of Fundraising’s Special Interest Group for Insight in Fundraising (IoF Insight SIG).

This year’s event attracted the highest number of entries to date, more than 50% up on last year, a testament to how the fundraising insight community has embraced the event.

Winners will be presented at the awards ceremony and gala dinner being held at the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms in Holburn, London, on Tuesday 3 June.

The Insight in Fundraising Awards are judged against three key criteria: Insight, Innovation and Impact; and they aim to celebrate the successes and achievements of analysts, database marketers, researchers and online fundraisers in delivering value and opportunities in the use of insight for making a difference in fundraising.

Janet Snedden, Insight SIG chair, said: “Entries this year were both up in volume and of an exceptionally high standard; it really wasn’t easy to compare and contrast and I’d like to thank our judges for their outstanding integrity and rationale in proposing and agreeing the winners.

"It’s a great shame we cannot recognise all of the great work that has been submitted but in this light we have decided to award three winners for each category with a Gold, Silver and Bronze award.”

New Award Categories – 2014 saw the introduction of four new categories ‘Predictive Analytics’, and the best ‘Performance Reporting & Data Visualisation’, ‘Insight on a Shoestring’ and ‘Rising Star’.

The Insight in Fundraising Awards will be shortlisted for the institute’s National Awards for the Best Use of Insight category.

The award will be presented at the IoF National Awards gala dinner on Monday 7 July.
